It’s rain season… (Taken with picplz.)

Going back to my roots. Another water marker illustration! Inked with Sakura Micron pens and colored with Staedtler Mars Graphic 3000 Duo markers on a Fabriano paper sheet; size is 18 x 24 cm ( 7” x 9”1/2). Original character is Cole (in his wizard uniform at the front and casual clothing behind), from my “Master!” story/manga which one day will be finished…

Need moar practice, but I am getting the hang of watercolor markers again :)

PS. I added an extra texture and the logo in Photoshop CS6. Here’s original scan.

Oh heavens, this is PERFECT. Amazing noir-themed 2007 photoshoot by national treasure Annie Liebovitz for Vanity Fair, and featuring a whole slew of my favorite actors. Talk about writing prompts. (I’m shipping the Angelica Huston & Sharon Stone characters).

A few more images here.

So like, I decided I should do more traditional drawing and painting. The actual sketch was drawn digitally in Sai, then copied later to a piece of special marker paper. It was inked with waterproof ink; then I treated the markers with a wet brush to wash the colors a bit, and worked in several layers. This is the result. I am very pleased with it :)

PS. Scanner makes the colors look like crap. It’s not supposed to look that yellow-ish.

Done! Soon to be scanned. (Taken with picplz.)
